Questiion on TF P-47 60 size
I just noticed the instructions on this kit don't mention fibreglassing the wing center. Is this necessary? Many of you have built this kit. What did you do or what do you advise? Appreciate your help.

The wing spar it very adequate! So glassing isn't really required.
If you feel better glassing it go with about 1 ounce cloth or similar.
Just make sure you strengthen the landing gear mounts adequately if you have retracts. They can pull out easily during rough landings on grass or pavement.

If you are going to cover the plane with covering, then by all means glass the joint. The majority of people that build it end up glassing the whole plane and painting it, so glassing the joint is a moot point.
