I was wondering if anyone knows of a existing rc model kit that replicates the classic Spartan Aircraft Execuitive 7W?

An RC flying buddy has the real thing right down the road from me. As I recall there only 17 left. His is in show condition and flawless. He has mentioined that there are plans out there and may even have a set, I am not sure exactly. This plane would be an involved build to do it scale.
My friend does not have internet so I will let him know of your interests and get his ok to give you his phone number. He knows where each of the existing planes are and generally who owns them, doubt you will find anyone who knows much more about the plane.....

I love the looks of the Spartan Exec! Several years ago I went to an open house at Santa Paula airport and there was one on display. I took loads of pics as it was the first I had seen or heard of one. Absolutley gorgeous airplane! I hope for you that plans are available.

As a side note of trivia, did you know Spartan built house trailers too? I didn't, until my sister-in-law and her husband bought a property in Bishop, Calif and it included a "house" which turned out to be a Spartan manufactured trailer and the give-away was the nameplate logo on the all aluminum house trailer! So I searched out info on the internet and there is lots!

Did anyone ever come up with an answer for the exsistance of a set of plans for the Spartan Executive? Even a set of three view drawings will do. I would love to build a 1/3 RC model of this plane.

no one every got back to me about plans or detailed pictures. so as of the moment, no plans have surfaced.

There used to be plans out there. Seem to me that they were advertised in High Flight,, about 5 years ago.

He parks it across the road from his Executive at Oshkosh, in Camp Scholler.

I have a set of plans for this model ... at about 65", IIRC.

From the UK. RCModel World or RCM and E plans service ... can't recall, off the top of my head.

I have the L. Pancoast plans in case you don't get a response from him. He is a very nice fellow but I've not had any contact for >10 years when I bought these plans. Still waiting for 1/4 plans (and glass fuse) from Bates to come available. He evidently gets a lot of e-m so you may not get prompt response. Don't despair! Also, I think one of the Executives that participated in a Bendix Race is hangared at Bowman Field in Lousiville, KY
