Hello all, In reprogramming my radio last week, somehow I messed up the centering point for the ailerons on my Sig Somethin' Extra. The manual says to use a Aileron Position Guide (AGP) that they provide with the kit. Well, wouldn't ya know, I can't find the one they provided. Can anyone tell me where teh neutral throws are for this plane.
Thanks a bunch

I believe that the aileron neutral point is parrallel with the thrust line instead of the top of the airfoil. I am away from the house right now, but I will check my se later tonight.

im building a somthing extra kit and was wondering were the balance comes out? is it nose heavey or tail heavy before radio installation? im thinking about moving the servos to the rear of the fuse but i dont want to if its going to make the plane tail heavy

CG depends on what engine you have planned.
I use a OS .70fs and it's nose heavy... I have servos & rx in stock lockation and a Futaba 1500mah ni-cad under the servo plate.
It flies great, but I can feel it's nose heavy and needed to trim some elevator to compensate.
I will play around with the battery and/or weights to get the CG more back.
Instead of messing around wih new servo locations, one guy in our club who also fly a SSE with 70 fourstroke has made a battery hatch behind the canopy.
tyhoc: That's the spirit! Very nice of you to take time and post a pic of the APG

thanks, im going to be running an os 70 fs also, it would be very easy to make sevo mounts in the rear of the fuse now while its still under constuction so i thought i would inquire.

Sure, I have no eperince moving the servos. I guess another good thing with that is shorter pushrods and a closer link to the elev/rud surfaces.
The .70 is plenty power for this plane... But fun
ps. I have put a higher landing gear on my plane to make room for a 13x6 prop.
