Hi All I was agiven a Goldberg Tiger 2 40 ARF fuselage with the tail feathers..All IT needs is a wing..I did order a wing kit from CG, but that was for the kit version.. What I would like to know is, if any one did this before? I know the the kit version has a wing dowel where as the ARF had a tab, other then what should I be looking for?
They wanted $ 106.00 for the built ARF wing. The wing kit was only $49.00+plans n shipping, came to around $75.00.
Thanks Dan

NOt sure what kind of answer you are looking for. I'm not familiar with the ARF, but I have built the kit. The wing is a very straightforward build. As for the dowl/tab issue, you should be able to drill a hole for the dowl and reinforce the hole with a doubler. THis may be essential if the dowl lines up with the tab slot in the fuse. I wouldn't expect to encounter any difficulty - especially if you aren't a beginner. Good luck.

Hi The 1st mod was to use dual servo's..I also made IT a tail dragger.. Mounted the main gear on the fuselage. The instuctions were a little hard to understand at first, but after awhile they made sense..
Thanks Dan

Hi Have any of you had any problems with CG on the Tiger 40 being tail heavy. I'm just about to cover the replacement wing, went to check the CG the tail dropped like brick.. I had the servo's under the wing blocks reciever and battery as per plans? Every thing as per plans.. Now I moved the servo's right behind the fuel tank, with the reciver in the next compartment.I still have to add a ton of weight, (1/600 MH battery and a heavy piece of lead) as far forward on the bottom of the fuselage/wheel well..One would think with a OS FX 46 up front, no weight should have been needed
