I think I see a plane under there.

Those TF Gold Edition warbirds are terrific kits. Your FW looks good so far.

I think you need to remove that radio from the workbench, as it is taking up too much space!

Never clean your shop until after the build or at least until it's time to cover or you won't be able to find what your looking for. I even leave the cob webs up to help collect the dust.
Nice build!!

I happened to catch the kit just before they stopped building it. Enjoy your corsair build, that one looks even more challenging than the 190.

Thought I would try a different technique for finishing off my model. I used a wood sealer, then shot the wood with a sandable primer. Next, I gave the primer a quick sanding, then used a slightly watered down wood filler to fill in the grain and other defects. Finally I gave the wing another quick sand. I think this should give me a smooth painted finish without much weight.

Its been I good building kit, the only bad side to this kit is the scale looks of the cowling and the gun hood cover. If you are looking for a 60 sized dora you could try the skyshark, it has a smaller wing span but the cowling is interchangable so the fuselage might be about the same size.

Ok, I finally got the top of the wing completely prepared for paint. The second picture has the chemicals I used to get the final finish, if anyone is interested.

Jeff, I'm working on the TF P-47 and would rather not go with Monokote but I'm curioius how hard of a finish your method will provide. Any updates? Thanks,
