when I build a kit I like to make a copy of the plans and then I cut up the copies for the sections I am building instead of folding the plans. How do you do it, fold them or cut them up?

I usually make a copy and then cut up the copy of plans. One thing i always do, trace the ribs on a minila folder just in case down the road need to fix a wing. This has come in handy a few times.

use old fashion carbon paper to transer shapes to balsa or cardboard. its a lot cheaper and easier than a trip to printer of the plans. been doing it this way for over 65 years. dick

When building A kit I just fold them and cut what I need. On A plans built plane I usually have two copies made and cut one up and build over the other copy. That way I always have the origianl set. I also make templates out of chip board if it's something I may want to build again then make up A folder for them. You never know when you may want another of the same plane.
I just finished spending some time on the puter making copies for my winter build. Most of the wing ribs I had to make them in two parts because of size then just line them up and tape them together. Just do it how you have to.
