.10 Size Sport Plane???
I am looking for a .10 size sport plane. I would like to get something that is somewhat light, flies well, and of decent quality. Anyone have any ideas??? I was thinking about a lanier stinger .10, but don't know if that is what I want.

RE: .10 Size Sport Plane???
I recently built and have been flying the wings off of a Sig Wonder. That has got to be the most fun anyone can have with 3 oz of fuel. I have an OS .15LA on it, and it is plenty fast enough for me! (Clocked at 100 mph) It's cheap, and really easy to build on top of that. It flies amazingly well, both fast and slow. I've thought about a stinger 10 also, but glad I built the wonder.

I'll throw in my endorsement for the House of Balsa "Chea-pass series" Laser Stick. I got my kit for $5, and used an O.S. .10LA on it. I'm sure it's not as zippy as a Wonder, but it can easily take off from grass and does anything a larger 'ugly stik' design can do. Take a look at the Ace simple series. I've built the Ultimate and the Extra 230(later converted to a B-24). Also The House of Balsa planes are really nice. I built the PT-19(.25 size) all I can say is WOW. Beautiful laser cutting and great wood. I've seen the Spacewalker and that was pretty good also(.09 size).
Hope this helps,

I've always thought the Stinger 10 would be a nice flop-around sport plane. I have one here in the box--just never built it. I started a thread about this plane almost 6 months ago, but I've just never gotten around to building it.
Here's a link to a thread about the plane:

All I need is an engine. But, I've got too many irons in the fire right now--don't need another one. Maybe I'll build it next year.

Check this thread out. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ht=mini+sukhoi
This is scratch built from a set of plans. Hobby hangar sells a kit for it. It was intended to fly on a .10 or .074.
this thing is a blast to fly. I converted it to electric!
