I always wanted to start a forum about building, flying, crashing, showing pics, ect of you lazy bee.
I love my lazybee, do donuts on the runway, fly backwards in wind, and harrier landings!!! i mod mine by putting a aluminum shield in the front of it to protect its front from gravel and weeds.
I have mine with dual rates , flys real good like that, but dont take off with it. As i like to call my lazybee--- the russian lazybee because of its color scheme--i just see it that way. ill post a pic later of the little thing

I have the 40 inch lazy bee. its fairly old plane, cant say, but the monokote is realy fragile. youll find out the lazybee is a fun plane as well. really fun. just wait till you built one from a kit, perfect engine is the OS .26 4 stroke.

Hey Dago:
I have mine covered like a Texas flag on the wing. Sorry no pic's
but have been practicing the donut take offs. it is a blast and it doesn't matter which way you are pointed when you stop the donuts it will just windmill into the wind and and away you go.

I can do better a Avalanche with my bee than I can with my pattern bird????

I have the OS 20 four stroke on mine and is plenty of power even at 4000' altitude.

sounds like you have a fun little lazy bee, ill get mine and put the stick in the top left hand corner, it goes nuts. sometimes get it into a flat spin. next time you get some high winds , try to hover with it, its alot of fun. my record for flying the longest is 22 minutes with it, all hovering.

Hey Red,
I took my Bee out today and taught four of those too serious type modelers that this is a hobby. Had them laughing their ***** off all they could do was try to keep a straight face while "Bee flying"

Later

I got them to stand beside me and watch the donut take off and soon as airborne and stable I handed them the Transmitter.

That will get them every time.

Clancy needs to be paying us to advertise for them LOL

AH--the donut take off--Your right, it does get them. people love it. Ive had people fly mine and then say "I have more repect for the way you fly it and how good you fly it" since we all know they are not all that easy to fly--but as i say--i have mine trained, or is it me?

How about the Clancy Speedy Bee? I haven't see it advertised lately. I've been flyin' mine for over 4 years. I love the ailerons. It flies slow or fast. I'm using an OS 26 Surpass with an APC 10 x 5 prop. I built the floats and fly if off snow. Flew it on Saturday - 9 inches of snow in Connecticut.

I had a freind that had a speedy bee. Never flew worth a darn and was just a static plane after a few fligts and crashes. I have a friend building one right now. Cant wait to see how well his flies. Your right, i havent seen it advertised, or have you seen the gyro conversion for the lazy bee. they have a few other thing that they dont advertise--but go to the clancy website--or is it another--ill find it for ya.
