Default Built-up or Foam Wing?

Love my GP Easy Sport 60, but GP doesn't stock the kit anymore. I know I will eventually bang the one I have up, so I plan to scratch build a replacement this winter. I want to build lighter than the original. Should I rebuild the stick and rib original or go for a foam core wing

The wood is usually lighter, but for this size plane I don't think it will make much difference.
