Default Advice for throttle control linkage?

hello, work progressing nicely on a 60 sized GP Cub, the kit does not come with throttle linkage, and was wondering what people like ot use for pushrods/cables, brand and type?

Only played with a few Great Planes arf's so far, and have had issues wih the straight steel rod nylon clevis setup, often, things arent straight and it makes for a very tough linkage.

So, ball linkage, flex cable, nylon pushrods, brands, what are your favorites and why?

Thanks in advance,

Mill

Default Advice for throttle control linkage?

Always have used Sullivan Golden Rod with a ball link on the carb. and solder link on the servo...no metal to metal bad vibs.
Glued down at somwhere inside the fuse and having the end at the firewall float...
Some I have are 18" to 24" long
Never had a faliure or a problem...

Just 2 cents wirth...

I use a lightweight braided metal cable (usually Sullivan) running in a plastic tube. At the servo I use a DuBro EZ connector with a setscrew for ease of adjustment. At the engine I use a small nylon clevis to the throttle arm, if the alignment of the throttle cable allows this. If the offset from the cable to the throttle arm is too great I use a DuBro ball coupler on the throttle arm. All this is slop free and easy to adjust. You must be able to solder a threaded coupler to the forward end of the cable and also apply some solder to the back end to keep it from fraying.
