All out performance should not be a factor with a cub, so prop type I believe is whatever you like. For that size engine, there are not many choices. I'd say 12-6 would be best, but if it's overpowered at all, you could use a 13-5 or so to get the noise down.

I would go with a lot pitched prop. So up your diameter and lower the pitch. It will keep the airplane
slower but still allow enough pull. Cubs were not designed to be fast. I always go with a small pitch prop
on an airplane that is meant to be "lazy".

With the MDS 58, a 12-5 would be more like it. Maybe a 13-4?

The plane will be way over powered with this engine so you don't need to get every once of power out of it anyway.

I ran a 11-7 on my MDS 58 but it wasn't on a cub.

Enjoy,

Jim

I agree with Jim, I think with that motor a 13-4 should be about perfect.
