I would like to use 3/32 balsa in place of the stock fuse sides that are 3/32 lite ply to help build this plane lighter, what do you think?
Any ideas on building light would be apreaciated.

It can be done.....when I crashed mine...I used 3/32 balsa.....but...instead of using the light ply with all the cutouts to reinforce the sides.....I used 1/16 plywood........stronger and lighter....
I also did not have to use lightening holes in the rear part of the fuse.....
I have been building.....flying...crashing.....and rebuilding since 1987.....si I learned long ago that there are cheaper alternatives to a lot of things used in modeling......
I say......GO FOR IT.......
