I am building a Top Flight Contender. I will be installing a new OS .61 FX. I would like to use a 3-bladed propeller
because it will look more in line with the theme of the plane (NAVY).
The OS manual merely says: 12x6-8, 13x6-7. No mention of three bladed propellers.
I will be flying sport, no heavy areobatics or no 3D. More pattern type flying.
How about a couple of suggestions, from the RC crowd. I am rather new to RC, so I
need your input.
Thanks
Jim

Zinger has a chart on their website. If my memory serves me correctly, I am getting old now, you drop the diameter and keep the pitch. Example: an 12x6 two blade is an 11x6 three blade. [link=http://www.zingerpropeller.com/_2_blade_.htm]Zinger Propeller Conversion Chart[/link]. Hope this helps.

Thank You for your help. The link you provided, I have saved to "favorites". It is full of info.
Now to find a spinner. Zinger does not show any for 3 or 4 blade propeller in 2 3/4" size. I amy call them
to see if they have such an animal.
Thanks, again

when going doen to a 3 blade, a good rule of thumb is down an inch and up in pitch. example: 12x7 2-blade 11x8 3-blade <-- this is what I used with my .61 FX. I also used a master airscrew prop[link=http://www.masterairscrew.com/GoCart/itemlist.asp?RootID=7016]Master Airscrew Prop[/link]
