I am building a 4*60, great kit so far. I have a concern about the wing bolts. The instructions say to drill the hole then use a tap to thread the wood. Then apply ca to harden the wood. This seems like it would work for a while, but long term does not sound safe.
Anyone else every have any problems or experience with this?

Done it many times with many kits and not had a problem. I always use two bolts and the first sign that a bolt is going in - bottoming out - but not tightening up - -I fix it.

With a blind-nut (t-nut).

I used a couple of brass 1/4-20 inserts with 3/8" external wood cutting threads. Works great.
