Hi modelers, I have a dynaflite 1/4 scale super decathlon that i am trying to balance ( finding CG ), i have a brison 2.4 bolted on for power. A very light engine, what i did in order to find CG is i measure 3 3/8" from leading edge of wings according to manual and mark it, Then place a string between where each wing halves meet at the area marked, then suspend plane from the ceiling of shop and add weight to nose until the plane straightened out but then all that weight added to nose in order for tail to line up make the plane very heavy, I weighed it with one of those cheap spring scale from harbour freight and it is showing a weight of 22lbs, I know this is serious problem, any helpful advice from anyone will be nice, thanks,

While the 22# is not a lightweight it certainly isn't a plane killer on this particular model. This plane was never intended to fly or be flown like a 3-D or IMAC ship.

If you have done all of the obvious things like moving the batteries and servos at or ahead of the cg then accept that the weight is necessary for the proper balance and go fly it.

If you can cram the ignition battery out under the firewall do that. And though some people will squawk, if it is possible even take the flight pack battery out there or as far forward as possible. As always do a engine off/engine on range check.
I have current aircraft that have both packs jammed together and have found no change in the range.

GREMLIN I FEEL BETTER READING YOUR TREAD, I TRY TO GET AS MUCH AS I CAN UP FRONT TO HELP COUNTER THE TAIL WEIGHT, I DO HAVE THE BATTERY PACKS DIRECTLY IN THE CENTER OF GRAVITY AREA, I JUST WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH ALL THAT WEIGHT BUT I WILL MAIDEN FLY IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, THANKS GREMLIN.
