From: Center of the Flyover States,
I've visited Robart's website and noted the size of the 3/32, 1/8, and 3/16 inch hingepoints. Robart provided no recommendations regarding their appropriate use verses model size, hence my question.
I will try them on a 1/5 scale cub (68" span), so I guess I would select the 1/8 size. Does that seem correct?
When does one use the smaller 3/32 and the larger 3/16 sizes?
Would you use different sizes on the same plane?
Thanks

I agree with Mike on his recommendation.
I'm using the 3/16" hinges on my 28% Extra 300s, 14 lbs, as well as on larger aircraft I have built for people. These were the only hinges we used on 30% Extra 260's which weighed in at 22-25 lbs. The scale guys use them on some of the really large birds, but they use a lot of them.
The smaller hinges work great on models with surface thicknesses less than 1/4".
