Have stock 4*60 with clipped wings. I understand there are two common mods which really help the aerobatic performance.
1. Rudder increase of 1 inch.
2. Elevator increase of 1/2 inch.
I would like to know who has done this and whether it helps.
Since I'm on it, I would pay for someone to frame a rudder up, trim it with red monokote. Name price.

I have done these mods, and also have cleaned up the front of the fuse as well. I have even tried eliptical wingtips, and I really did like this mod. (also done all the above to the 4*120 as well) I did not just increase the length of the rudder, but added to the height as well, and wound up with the rudder looking something like the one found on the extra series. Same with the elevators. Did it help? YES, YES, and YES. Be careful that you feel the model out before going to high rates at low altitude. You can make the bird, "Stall, Snap" and dump it into the ground. You have so much more rudder/elevator authority that you will not believe it. Why did you clip the wing? Was it for a quicker roll rate? I also used a larger (chord wise) aileron, and mine get around a lot more quickly. I personally feel that the work in the nose area was probably the best mod. I did away with the cheeks, and added a streamlined nose (spinner to firewall) It does not like to slow down now. Give it a try. You'll like it.

Can you post pics of your mods?

The plane has been sold. It's somewhere in Tennessee. I can talk you through them though.

Was just wondering if your mods are the same as have been posted on a thread elsewhere, or whether you had a different idea...?

I did post them before, I believe it was in regart to the 4*120 though. I have done these mods to both, and the results were outstanding.
