Default New SSE all covered and ready for the guts

Whew! Just installed the control surfaces, now its time for the finishing touches. Will have 3151's and a Saito 82 in her, and the DuBro gear for prop clearance. This was supposed to look like green flames, but it turned out looking more like grass...oh, well- its kinda unique. How do y'all like her?

Looks very good. You could always throw a green stripe or something like that on the bottom for a little contrast.

OK, please help!

I had to order a new canopy from the LHS, because the RIT dye bath caused my first one to curl up beyond repair. @%#*!! I thought these things were OK to submerge in a 160 degree dye bath!

Any suggestions?

Try 150 degrees next time, I dyed mine that way. Took about 15 minutes. Also, don't cut it out first.

OK Randy, I'll try that in a week or so when the replacement gets in. Thanks. (I may even go with a lower temp than 150)

Here's a few more pics, now with landing gear and motor. All that's left are the empennage braces, the radio install, and the canopy (replacement arrives next week. I still don't know what I'm going to do for a bottom-side color scheme.

One thing that really worked out with this build is the throttle cable- a very clean install!
