Default Bad paint job

I painted a fiberglass cowling with Rustoleum automotive primer and then applied Rustolem automotive paint over it. It didn't turn out as well as I like. I then wet sanded it and repainted it again. This time it spider webbed. I don't want to put any more paint on it so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good paint remover that is easy to use and will get all the paint and primer off but wont hurt the fiberglass. I want to start with bare fiberglass again.
Thanks,
Gibbs

You could try Acetone, it may soften the paint. Otherwise, sand it back down, at least to the primer. I used to use K&B or Hobby Poxy paints with my compressor system, but in recent years, I generally use Rustoleum primer and paint, and have no trouble with it. (Spray-can versions). I have heard of probems if you paint, then re-coat within a day or two.....supposedly you must wait for the first coat to really chemically cure all the way down to the primer before applying another coat. I shoot a "dust coat", wait maybe ten minutes, then a "normal" coat, reasonably wet, then leave it alone.

Thanks Clair! I got some paint stripper for fiberglass doors and it worked great. I just finished covering it again with primer, same stuff and then after about an hour I'll shoot the color. Hope it comes out nice.
