I am building a Contender .60. I plan on using a tiger G-51, and was wondering what kind of performance to expect? Is this a good choice of engine? This is my second plane. Any help would be great

Try this linkhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3421799/anchors_3421799/mpage_1/key_Contender/anchor/tm.htm#3421799. There is a lot of information. I am building one. Just about ready to cover. I am using a .61 OS FX.
Good Luck.

I powered my Contender with the O.S. 46FX and found it to have ample power for my (conservative) flying. On the other hand, a fellow culb member powered his with a .61 2 stroke and IMO there wasn't much difference between his and mine. Bottom line, I think a .51 would be an excellent choice.

I agree with DaveB. My Contender is powered by a GMS .47 and has almost unlimited vertical (almost). A .61 will have more power but will also weigh a lot more! I think a .51 would be a great choice!...If you still desire more power, put a tuned pipe on it..Thats what I did!!!.....Johnny
