Can robart robostruts be cut to length for a specific application? This is probably a stupid question, I just want to know if it can be done since in stock form they will be too long.

Yes, they can be cut........ I used a cutoff wheel with a die grinder on mine.......

One day I will be looking into retracts and of course I would want it to be scale. I'm sure there are some instructions that come with the parts, but does anyone have pictures and documentation about assembling the gear, and installing? Just curious and didn't mean to change the subject of the thread.

Go to http://www.robart.com/ and take a look at the Robostruts. On each one, you can click on a drawing that will let you know just how much can be cut from that specific strut.
