Fiberglassing the Great Planes RV4 Good idea or bad idea?
Hello everyone I am building an RV4 and I was wondering if it would be ok to fiberglass it? I am not very good at covering with film an I want this model to look excellent. Any Ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I will post some pics. of the building process soon.

anything can be done but I would be careful with adding to much weight if I remember right this is not a very big plane so the wing-loading will go up fast good luck will be looking for your pics

I've found if you do it right it doesn't add too much more weight. I have been recently experimenting with .5 cloth and using Minwax polyurethane instead of resin. It sands easy and gets very hard. Compared to resin on this light a cloth I can't see any difference in strength. Get some scrap wood and give it a try and see what you think. I made a dummy fuse section and put panel lines and rivets to check it out before I finished my Top Flight P-47. I am going to use this on this plane. Also you can bu the minwax at any hardware store, it is very cheap and it is water based so cleanup is very easy.
