Default robart hinges

I did a search and didn't find much of an answer. When you are using robarts hinges. how much spacing do you use -- ie how many hinge pins in a 26 inch aileron? I was told one every two inches.
thanks

On a 26" aileron, 2" spacing will be a good guide.

Geeze, 2" seems a little excessive. For a 26" aileron, I would use 4 hinges. 5 if it's a powerful aerobatic model. At 2", that would mean 12 hinges on a 26" surface!

Default How CLOSE

I would say 2" is a little overkill. ( actually is a lot of overkill ) Look at your plans they usually show the hinge locations. But as the previous post said 4 or 5 is plenty.

Ouch, I don't know what I was thinking, that many hinges is just too many. I have seen them spaced that distance before, and I thought, wow that's a lot of hinges...too many hinges.

On a 26" aileron I would certainly go more than four, mayby five or six. I would space one on each end 1" from the end. Another directly in the center of the distance from the last two you placed. I would then place two more half the distance of the previous ones. Are you totally confused? That would be five hinges.

Default CONFUSED

Nope
Not confused at all. Is exactly what I would do.
