Default Bashing SS60

My next plane is going to be a Super Sportster 60, that i just bought on ebay. I want to make it alittle different. I want a round fuse with a ymf cowl. I was thinking of building the basic box fuse from the SS then running round formers down the fuse while sheeting the first half and stringers on the second half. If i just build the basic box with only sides and bulkheads, do you think with the formers, sheeting and stringers it will be a stronge enough fuse.

It should be fine with all the stringers and sheeting, with no top or bottom to the box. If you are still worried, replace the box top and bottom with diagonal sticks to brace the fuse box straight. Minimal weight added and a much stiffer box structure...

Yeah, i could, maybe in the back half where the fuse narrows. I was also thinking the firewall would be a thin round ply former over the original firewall. I was thinking the 1/6 ymf cowl would be about right for a .60 size engine.
