I am building a sig something extra. It will have duel servos in the wing and an os 46 ax on it with an acorn nut as the spinner.
I'm wondering how this plane will balance out? Nose heavy? Tail heavy? or just about right?
Any idea what size tank I should use? 8 or 10 oz.
thanks

as most mine came in really tail heavy.
the 8oz will work fine.
go easy on the glue on the turtle deck and the tail section, and you might save some tail weight.
it's a(was) fun plane to fly, on high rates(all it's got) its kind of violent in its moves and at lows is a ***** cat.
But who need low rates any way? do a search on it in the building threads and you'll find som good info. i know i did. and i will be repairing mine. it's in my gallery

With a Saito .72 and built up cowl on the front, sheeted turtle deck, sullivan tail wheel and the battery under the fuel tank, mine balanced just about right. I thought about adding a little nose weight to balance conservatively, but it seems to handle pretty decently as-is.

I've only got one flight on mine, but the APC 13x6 feels right at home on the .72. I doubt I'll get any more time on it this year as it seems like our decent flying weather has gone by the wayside.

Like someone said go light on the glue in the tail or it will be tail heavy. I built two and one was tail heavy and one was right on. If it does come out tail heavy just add more motor and have fun. The Tower 75 will wake this little plane up and it will fly good nose heavy as well. The last one I had crashed due to wing antirotation pin coming loose due to not enough glue so don't go too light on the glue, Haw.

I ordered landing gear from TNT for mine. It provided a lot more prop clearance and doesn't bend near as easy as the stock gear. I think it's a good investemtn for the SEE.
