Default Great Planes,fokker Dr-1,arf

can anyone give me info on 4 stroke power for this plane?buddie and myself bought them to do some dogfighting and not sure on what engine to install,os70,os90,ys63,or other?don't really want togreatly overpower them but want to have fun on them windy sundays.if plane needs lead in the nose might as will put it up there by adding some H.P. thanks for any help ROB

Default power

91 magnum is more than it needs but works and sounds great.this plane really does not like wind at all.It weathervanes like a a a weathervane.

robski,it dont matter WHAT engine that you choose[ys 63] im gonna shoot your tail right outta the blue sky!when we put streamers on our planes[our streamers are gonna be the scarfs on the pilots..lol...]im gonna chew that baby up like a john deere in field carpet grass!!hehe...the only problem that i can see is when we hit in midair!how are we gonna tell which parts are yours and which parts are mine!!

yes i agree !!a snipe would be great, we were planing on taking our DR1 to a local war bird pylon race,i think it would have been great .to bad i had to work,did you make it axememan? and did you win!!!!!!!!hehehe

no,i didnt make it...but..we flew at the hall and the fokker put in a nice display...low and slow....also ..joe and his boy and me went to the ball game[cards lost 4-3...darn!] and after the game i took them out to the field so i could let jr see the fokker fly...i let him horse it around for a few minutes.he had a blast!!of course there wasnt anyone there so it was like or own private club..........need film footage!we will have to hook up with a camera--and someone else besides bibbens[sissy!]..i have waited for 3 weeks now for himto be able to come out and film....but his wife GLENDAZILLA wont let him...[she wears the pants at that house!]..

POOR STEVE, sure was a blast sunday!!!! i think the 30mph gust just made them a "PILOTS PLANE" or maybe we are just lucky
