Well my auction aquisition is finally finished.
I bought this plane at an R/C auction back in October for $95.00. It is a Balsa USA Citabria Pro that had never been finished by 3 previous owners, I finally prevailed and completed it. Considering the amount of work that I had to put into it I probably would have done just as well to have built it straight from the kit!
Oh well, it's done and now I have to wait till spring to fly it!
It weighs in at 12.75 lbs. and is powered by an O.S. 1.60FX with a Slimline pitts muffler, swinging a Zinger 18 x 6 prop. Covered with Monokote and Lusterkote paint. Radio gear is a mix of Futaba and Hitec with 2 600 mah batteries and switch harnesses used for redundancy and 1200 mah total capacity.
Hope everyone likes it.

Citabria Pro
Just thought I'd say the name since not one of you guys have said what the plane is!
Now people can find it when they search for it. Funny thing is I was going to do a search for this plane this morning! I never would have seen this if I didn't check the resent post!
Been debating whether to build this plane or the Dynaflite Decathlon. All the ARF's of the Decathlon that are out now might mean that I'll see 10 of them at the field this summer. I know I want see many of the Pros!

The subject line in my second post says what the plane is.
And as for your reasoning that there will not be many of these at the field this summer.....
That is exactly why I wanted one!

Ah, missed that.
By the way, your photos look great! As for the other guys They came out alittle on the dark side. Here is how they should look.

Yeah I know what you mean about not seeing 10 pros at the field. I still like the Decath but it's just I see Goldberg, Global, Giant Scale Planes, and more all are makeing ARF Decathalons this year so I know I'm going to see a ton of them.

I know what you mean about the Decathalon deluge that seems to have cropped up over the last year. I was looking for something that was a bit different and stumbled across the Balsa USA ad in RCM that had the Citabria Pro in it and I was smitten instantly.
It's one of those few airplanes that really has "personality". I'm not sure why but 20 years ago when I was a teenager and was flying with my dad it seemed like there were many models at the field that had personality. Today it seems to be a rare commodity with everyone bringing the same plane to the field and only a few of us showing up with something completely different.
The Citabria Pro definately falls into the different category and I know there will be a LOT of questions and looks at our field this spring when we arrive and pull it out of the truck.
Here's another pic:
