thanks scale...was thinking offset inverted maybe 8 or 10 degrees.that way when I cut into the cowl for cooling it wont be so noticeable and I can install the dummy engines on the side of the cowl..I am also going with a remote ignitor given its a closed cowl..

Cloudancer,
Make sure your fuel tank is lower than the top of the carb. If you can't do that use a fuel dot or Kwik Fill and mount it as low as you can on the firewall. Then dremel out a big enough hole in the cowling to fuel the plane. This method prevents having to remove anything to take off the cowling. Except of course the spinner and prop. It will prevent flooding the engine also.

thanks....I am inclined to mount it almost vertical inverted.heck lots of guys do it and experience no problem I think I worry too much about nothing.but I will make sure the fuel tank centerline is just below the carb.maybe no more than 1/2 inch..as for fuel dots...I used one with my funtana 40 and love the simplicity and ease of a fuel dot source.never knew much about them until I used one in my big stinger..works a bit easier with gas but very nice in glow engines as well. appreciate your help!
