I could've swore I saw a picture of what looked like a 60 size GP Super Sportster converted into a biplane somewhere in these forums. Anybody know where it is? Can this be done? Thanks.

The SS 40 Bipe is very similar to the mono wing version, but you will need to do a LOT of bashing to turn a mono kit into a bipe if you want to do it properly. The wings on the bipe are considerably thinner both in thickness and in cord. You will need to build either cut new fuse sides for the new wing saddle, or fill in the existing saddle to fit the new wing. You will also need to look at the tail area to be sure it conforms to the tail area to wing area ratio associated with bipes. Generally, you only figure 75% of the combined wing area of a bipe when calculating the tail. Can you do it? Yes. Is bashing a kit the best way to go? Not in my opinion. You would be better off buying the SS 40 Bipe plans from RCM and enlarging them to .60 size.
