The last LT40 I built, I took out the dihedrel, made it flat, It sure flew better, Had a OS70 Surpass on it, toolk off in 10 feet, flew perfectly at any setting on the throttle. But someone wanted it worse than I and I sold it.
I am currently building another, again it will have no dihedrel, this will have the OS70 untimate(pumped engine) moved the fuel tank back to CG, lowered the wing 1/4" into cabin, put Evelator and rudder servos in rear, will have 2 aileron servos, will use mixing for flaperons, also sheeted the vertical and horizonal stabs for strenth and fancy covering job (I hope). Oh Yea, this is the first one for me to make a tail dragger.

wreakerbc1,
The only thing that I did to my LT 40 was reinforce the vertical stabilizer with a strip of triangle stock on each side. Good luck with yours. It's a good flying trainer.
Regards
Mike
