Hey everyone, im building a TF giant P-47, this will be my third one... Today it was time to join the wing panels together, being that this is the third time im building this plane i kind of skim over things. well after i joined the wings and let all the glue cure, i realized that i had built 8 inches of dihedral when the plans called for 6 7/8 inches! i have no idea how i did this, probably lack of attention. compared to the wings of my other Jug you can barely notice a diference. but what will this do to the flying characteristics?? should i separate them and do it over? or will the extra dihedral be ok? It will be fine. It will look great. Most folks don't put enough dihedral in their scale kits.
Too much dihedral can cause a slight oscillation at high speed if the plane isn't trimmed exactly right. It might rock a little, but most likely not.
