It's a prefabricated foam wing. I don't think this is considered a "Kit", but rather an ARF.
You can download the instructions from TrickRC and have a look for yourself: http://www.trickrc.com/Zagi400.PDF

The zagi is extremely easy to build. It doesn't take that much time, and the instructions are easy to follow. I don't think that anyone will have a problem trying to build a zagi.

Took about a week to (build) one for my son, real easy just have radio gear and covering tape ready when you start because in a short time you will be installing them. they also fly well, my son especially likes windy days where he flies and hovers it like a kite.

I've got a 400X. Overall build time was about 6 hours. Only trick was cutting the groove for the spar. Foam is hard to cut without an extremely sharp blade. I ended up using a hot knife tip on a soldering iron. I used packing tape to cover it but later removed it and covered it with low-temp iron on film. The weight is a few ounces over, but it's not bad flying. I also changed props. The Graupner Trick R/C recommends runs well, but I kept losing them. The center would loosen and the motor shaft would spin out. I bought an aluminum adapter and now run a 6x3 Master Air Screw. It's had the same prop for over a year.
Wing itself is very durable. I've run it full tilt into a basketball goal post. Picked it up, flight-checked and tossed it again
Learning how to toss it is fun. I hold it wrong, but it works.
LHS stocks canopies, so all out nose dive when battery broke the tray and canopy wasn't too bad. ($15)
Just flew it today. First battery is charged and the second is 1/2 way done on the Triton.

I have had my 400X for about a year. It is one of my favorite planes ( and I have 11 or 12 planes.)
These planes are easy to build. If you have a dremel and a straight edge ruler the groove for the spar is about a two minute job - literally. Measure. Set bit depth. Align straight edge with where you want to cut. Cut. Done.
Sedunster already mentioned the durability. I have stuffed mine several times. Once I dove it so fast that it started to flutter and pitched the battery out. The battery was a total loss.. the Zagi floated down like a piece of paper.
My buddy flew his straight into the street. Destroyed the canopy and smooshed the nose up pretty good. We taped on a new canopy and went flying.
The 400x is well worth the money. Trying to piece together all of the equipment necessary when you purchase one of the other less complete kits from Combat Wings or other companies wind up being the same price (sometimes more).

Thanks,

The battery pack in the 400X is a bit heavier than the 400, so there is a carbon fiber spar included in the kit. The spar helps support the extra 5 ounces and adds rigidity across the wing.
