Bipe which one?

Just finishing my CG cub and have been looking for a bipe. I was going with the Super Skybolt but everyone has them on back order.
My local LHS has a Goldberg Ultimate 100, but after the problems I encountered with the quality of the cub kit, I`m not sure about buying it. I did`nt want to judge Goldberg on the Cub kit to much as this kit was brought back just like it was in the 70s and I would hate to miss out on any products they sell that are concidered good planes kits.
Also concidered a GP Ultimate .40, the smaller size works out well for transporting and it`s my favorite plane on the simulator. I can get this plane and a Magnum FS 52 for 220 bucks and have enough parts laying around to finish it. I`ll have about 300 dollars in it. The same price as a Skybolt ARF. Would be the cheapest build I`ve done so far.
Any thuoghts are appreciated, I`m starting to have withdrawls, theres no wood on the building table. LOL

Sig Hog Bipe. I've had 3 of these, and I've got to say they are one of the better bipes out there. They don't have any bad habits in the air and are a pretty easy kit to build. Put an OS 91/Saito 100 on it and you'll have a plane that will become you favorite plane pretty quickly!!

My buddy has the SIG Hog, and it's nice but I would suggest the GP Ultimate 40 that you mentioned. A pretty straight forward build and a great flyer. More aerobatic than the Hog for sure.
Either one is nice.

thanks for the info. Well I bit the bullet and have the kit and the 52 on the way. $210n out the door with shipping. by the time I have the Cub done it should be here.
Ya know? I now have 6 planes, time I learded to fly. Well what does one expect from one that has worked on the big birds most his life. At least the wife knows what a full size cost to,store, repair, annuals, ect. She likes $1000s better than $10,000 of them.
Giants are in my future, Darn got to get a bigger truck!

Hi: I am building a Carl Goldberg Ultimate at this time, The only thing that I could say about it is that I will never buy a Carl Goldberg Kit again. The reason: is very simple; too many parts that does not fit, plus an incomplete kit, many parts missing. I would go for the Great Planes Skybolt.
Hope this give a clue.

I have the Ultimate Bipe 40. You are right, it is easy to transport. I never take the wings off. It fits in the back of my Jeep assembled. Nice flyer, no problems at all. I recommend it. I have a Saito 72 on mine.
