Default MODIFIED LANIER ST-40 BUILD

Well, my Tower Trainer 40 is complete so now my next project;

I am going to build and convert a Lanier ST-40 Super Trainer to electric.

This will not be a complete kit build thread, although I will be posting pictures of the build as it progresses, but will not be as complex as the Tower Trainer 40 build thread was.

I purchased the same components from Hobby-Lobby as was used to convert a LT-40, and was listed in their group of "aircraft we have converted to electric" and includes:

AXI2826/12 Gold Line brushless electric motor
Jeti Advance 40plus ESC
Thunder Power 4200mAh Lipo battery pack
13x10 electric propellor
Misc. Deans plugs, banana plugs
Ultramat 12 battery charger

And another item that came with the setup that I don't know how to hookup and would rather omit it if I can not figure it out, but it is Jeti Advance Plus Program Card.

Does anyone know how to install one of these? What wires do I need to get to attach it (I assume) to the battery pack? Where can I get these wires? And what do they look like? Can someone direct me to a web site that can show me how to install them? If I can not figure this all out will it be bad to OMIT the program card from the build?

I will post pics in a short while, and will probably start the build in a couple days when my Tower Trainer is fully complete (just have to permanently attach the engine, fueltank, and landing gear and window decals and it will be done).

Here are the first pics:

And first request: I would like some advice on how to attach the motor and still keep the tricycle gear.

I have an idea that I could install hardwood engine mount rails behind the electric motor mount to push the motor more forward with space behind to slide the landing gear in, with nylon landing gear mounting brackets holding it in place.

Will that work? Any other ideas please share if you have something that will work?

The attached pic shows what I DO KNOW and a couple that I DON'T.

Could someone help me with the two I don't?

Thank you in advance.

I will be posting this as a build thread as I am sure I will be having many questions along the way. I am doing this one just so I will have something to do as at this moment there is about 3 feet of snow in my backyard. Still have to study up on the info on joining AMA and a local flying club as I do not know how they operate or remember where the field is, but I have some sources that may be able to let me know.

Started working on the fuselage today, and decided on doing a couple modifications:

1) Instead of the stick pushrods it calls for on the elevator and rudder I am using the nylon pushrod tubes. I hate the stick pushrods so I am omitting them for this build

2) I have decided that I am going to omit the dorsal fin for IMO better looks.

3) I am definitely building it as a 3-channel.

4) I am using cable for the steering instead of the wire rod.

Later, going back to see what more I can do.
