Default 50cc size Extra kit

Does anyone know where I can find a kit for a 50cc sized Extra? I'd rather build one that buy an ARF because I like building, but I'm having a tough time finding anything.

I looked in all my magazines and it's sort of odd, I can find Extra kits up to 60 size then they go right to ARF when they get to 1.20 size. Lanier still have there Laser 96 inch 1/3 scale kit. I have the CG Extra on the bench right now with A YS 1.40 but anything bigger then A gas 1.4 would kill the frame. There are A bunch of 80 inch Extra plans though so maybe you should give some thought to doing that.
Wild Hare has one great Extra ARF though. I know, ARF ARF

You have a couple of choices

1) a CA Models 24% or 26% Extra 330 (depending on how overpowered you want it)

2) Wendell Hostetler 25% Extra 300 and get a kit cut for it. There are a number of cutters who do it and it is no problem to find one.

How about the Midwest Extra 300? I am building one, as a matter of fact. Mine has a 40cc gas engine. There is at least one excellent build thread on the Midwest at RCU.

The Columbo Anderson Extra is a great choice. Don't go with the 24%, it is to small for the 50cc engine.

The Midwest extra is old school, a nice plane but to little wing area for the wieght. The ailerons are also to small.

Depends on the engine. A BME 50 or the Brillelli 46GT would be perfect and certainly not too much for that plane. Anything much bigger/heavier would be too much, though.

If Fibre-Lite made an Extra, it would be the perfect kit.

Oh, and I'm planning on using a DA50 for power.
