Default Northeast Aerodynamics Bel Air .40

I was planning to build a biplane kit this winter, and had it narrowed down to the Sig Hog or the GP Ultimate .40 kits. Last night at our club sell & swap, one of the older guys had a new in box Bel Air .40 kit. He said he paid ~$100 for it back in the '80's and he wanted $50 for it. I have never opened my wallet quite so quickly.

I have a few questions for anyone with experience with this plane. First, what engines do you like for it? I am thinking of either an OS 46AX two stroke, or a comparable four stroke. I wasn't going to consider a four stroke, but since I saved about $60 on the kit portion of my budget, I may splurge.

Second, the kit is designed to have ailerons on the bottom wing only. Has anyone modified it for four ailerons, and is it worth the extra effort? Likewise, is it worth the effort and cost to go with two aileron servos?

And lastly (for now), the wings are supported from the center, with no vertical struts. To me, this just looks funny. How hard is it to add in struts and still make it easy to disassemble for transport?

I am really looking forward to my winter project.
