The manual says 4-1/8 inch aft of the leading edge.

I just came across this thread and your question with regard to anyone making an Eindecker with wing warping. Proctor Enterprizes makes a 1/4 scale kit that is scale and uses wing warping. I bought the plans and had them reduced to 80% which will give me a wing span of 80" and be approx 1/5 scale. I had a 1/4 scale before and found it a little difficult to transport, thus the reduction in size. I know this reply is about a year late but hope it helps.

It's quite striking that the German Oberursel U.I. engines that powered these E.IIIs were a French design, the Gnome Delta, that Oberursel started producing under license before the war.
It seems that if somebody produced dummy radial engines cast of lead that most of these WWI fighters could use them.
I'm working on the Balsa USA Eindecker .90 that I'm powering with an Eflite Power .60 motor. It will be a casual model, mostly for calm, scale-like flying.

Not only the engine, both the Fokker and Pfalz Eindeckers take a lot of inspiration from the Morane Saulnier monoplanes.

I've put in a wood dummy engine on a plywood disc and now am realizing it needs to weigh about a pound to balance the plane.
Thinking about lead filled brass tubes for engine cylinders.

If you know anyone with a 3-D printer they can print a pretty nice looking rotary. IIRC there is a pretty detailed version on Thingiverse. print it hollow and fill the cylinders with lead.

Mine flew today in western Colorado at 6800 feet! With Orotex covering and 12 oz. of nose ballast it weighs just under ten pounds. Yikes!
I was nervous but it made a nice flight and good landing!
It's electric powered with an eflite Power .60 motor, 80 amp Spektrum ESC, 5000 mah 6S lipo battery, and 15x6 APC sport prop.
