hi all
ive been wanting to build from a kit for a while now but because of space limitations needed something small and cheap (so if i screw up bad it wont matter so much)
so i eventially settled on a Guillows 900 series Cessna bird dog and placed an online order (cost me just over £10 including some CA and modeling pins) and im sure that with a little help from my Dad, from the members of RCU and a little Foamy magic i will be able to complete my very first kit (other than all those airfix kits)

Hi, Wild. Have had goo results with that specific kit with my novice engineering students!
One modification we usually make, not necessary tho, is to make a center section to the wing, and glue up the wing as one piece, instead of trusting it to stay tacked to the cabin. Not much, just a leading and trailing edge and a stringer carried thru, and relive the to of the cabin sides to match.
