RE: Another Mid Star 40
My Mid-Star is a tank - I fly from a grass field that's more chuck holes and divots than grass - she's my workhorse plane. Build it per the instructions using sound building techniques and you'll be fine.

RE: Another Mid Star 40
Getting ready to finish and I ran into a little problem. I used the hinges with the kit and I had everything working pretty well until I used CA to glue the hinges. It seems that now they are pretty stiff moving. Is there any way to loosen the hignes up? Maybe using a pointed scribe to scratch the space between the controls? Or will they work loose with a little work and time.
Another dumb question. Could someone run through the steps to post pic with the msg? Do they have to be limited by file size etc.?

two options i can think of:
1) bend it back and forward until its soft - alot! did it many times
2) if you can drip very small amount of acetone only on the hinge gap it should dissolve the ca and soften it, - didn’t try it yet!!!
if you put big or enough amount of CA it will dissolve the ca inside the wing as well....
i would trial and error it before do it on the plane.

Thanks Alex. Think I'll put some acetone on a small piece of tissue and use some tweezers to just rub it on the hinge. Might work, will try it tonight and post the results.
