Default Flair Puppeter Question

I am in the final stages of building the Flair Puppeteer. This is really a very nice kit which is easily modified to a more scale appearence. I am having problems with certain areas. Does anyone have the perfect answer to making the cabanes look more realistic? As they are, they look very unrealistic. I have concidered grinding the edges off making them oval. This will be difficult. I am not sure the results would be worth the effort. Another item that does not look quite right are the landing gear struts. Are the positioned correctly and are they long enough?

I am powering mine with an OS.70 four stroke. This may be more than needed but my experence is that knowing I will have to add nose weight, I would rather it be engine than lead.

One modification I have made it to carry the ailerons all the way to the wing tips. I also installed two servos to operate the ailerons. This sure makes aileron adjustments easier.

Another modification is making the tail feathers much lighter. I am using much thinner stock.

Does anyone have additonal ideas on making this ship look more scale? Any help would be appreciated.

Default RE: Flair Puppeter Question

You might go over to the scale site and look for the recent Snipe, Pup, and SE5a threads. they ane not the Flair but all the threads have great ideas and they are the same size planes.
