Default Pics from my TF Spitfire Build

Looks like I'll have to do this two at a time.

Lots of work to do yet.

This is interesting. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Are there guidelines for using the photo uploader posted somewhere?

This is the thread I started back in September. I've got pretty far on the build but I'm stuck waiting for the next paycheck so I can get a few more things done. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photo, but I built up the elevator with scrap balsa to match the stab and tried to keep it as light as possible. I have an earlier O.S. 90 in the nose but I'm a little concerned because the fuel intake to the carb doesn't line up with the fuel tank. I'll have to get a close-up of that so you can see what I mean. My plans to finish it are glassing and my first ever paint job using epoxy.

Ok here it is ........ the carb is well below the tank. What's the general consensus? Will I have trouble in flight?

Fuel will siphon out of the tank when engin not running.
You may(will) need an on board glow plug ignitor.
Engin will flood easly.[&o]
I have an Magnum 4 stroke inverted in my Great Planes Stuka have hade a lot of problems with it [&o]
Lots of luck to you.

Run an OS F plug to eliminate a fair amount of troubles from flooding. Spitfire looks good, I am enjoying the build on one myself

Thanx for the pics

Thank you gentlemen ...... I have a Sullivan on-board glow system lined up on my Tower Hobbies wish list and I'll add the "F" plug.
Hughes, watch out when you drill the wing bolt holes. The instructions call for the wrong drill size. Of course I figured this out when I went to tap the holes so I ended up filling the holes with epoxy and re-drilling.

Thanks again for the info!
