Hi Guys,
This is my first kit (and 1st Gasser), and I'd like some tips on what to use for the throttle & choke linkages.
The throttle is fairly simple, because it's more or less in-line with the edge of the Fuse and it has a simple lever to attach a Kwik Link to. A metal one seems to be the common sense solution. Yes?
However, the choke (shut-off?) is off to the side a bit. (by-the -way) I do need this for a shut off...right? I'm assuming that I need one of my extra channels for a servo to operate the choke. Correct?
I have 2 electrical shut off switches for the plane, one for the 4.8V Bat. for the Ignition module. And a 6V Bat. for the servos and receiver.
The choke has a separate lever also. What's that for? Please don't laugh, I not an "engine" guy, don't pretend to be either. I'd rather ask guys who know what their doing.
Any tips on do's and don'ts appreciated for these set-ups.
Thanks ahead of time,
Dan

Dan,
Get some hands on help from your club members or someone they can recommend. The choke is used for priming prior to start, not to kill the engine. There are other issues different from a glow engine. I am assuming you have prior glow experience? If not, all the more reason to get hands on help. Good luck.
