Default name this plane?

Hi:
I built this plane back in the late seventies and can't remember the name.
I remember building it from RCM plans and flew it with a Saito 40 4-stroke.
Shoulder wing design.
Can anyone name it?

Tom

Ace kitted the airplane in several different sizes. They were referred to as the 4-40, 4-60, 4-120 and they also kitted the plane in a biplane version in the same sizes. If I remember correct, Doc Mathews was the designer and it was originally an RCM project with plans available from them.
The "4" designated 4 stroke and the remaining digits stood for the engine size.

Just as a follow up, these are really great flyers! I built the ACE
4-60 about ten years ago and gave it to my friend when I took a break from the hobby for a couple of years. I had kit bashed it to look like a Fairchild PT-19. I have advertised on this site several times looking for a new in the box kit of the 4-60 and never got any responses. I would love to find another kit. If I can't, I will probably scratch build one from the original plans.

CCRC1:
Thank You. I kinda thought it was a 4* something, anyway it flew great until battery failure.....I've long lost the plans, but found this pic while going thru some old photos.
I built this one from scratch. Thought the tranparent covering was a nice finish!!
Yes, now that you refreshed my memory, it was a Doc Matthews plan.
Thanks once again.

What was the Ace 'Bingo'? Jim

The Ace "Bingo" is the plane I currently have a mushy spot for.

I'm working on the 40 size Bingo kit right now, to be followed by the 60 size and then the Big Bingo which will replace my Big Bingo that suffered a tragic and traumatic end due to elevator flutter.

Here's a pic of my Big Bingo before it's ill-fated flight.

I'll have another soon!!!

The Bingo was a low wing design along the same lines as the 4-40 and 4-60. Another excellent design from Doc Mathews.
