Default WING TIP STYLE?

Is there a difference in flight with the wing tip style, shape. wing is for a SUKHOI 40 and this is what I have now. Do I want to round the ends, taper the ends or leave them alone? Thanks pub

Rounded or beveled somehow looks better to most eyes. Aerodynamically there isn't much difference with the way we overpower models. Making them the same shape has more effect on trimming and flight precision than the particular shape you choose.

This really is a question for the aerodynamic gurus here at R/CU. Try it at that forum.

I agree, but I will tell you what I have read on the subject. A squared off wingtip is supposed to lessen tip stall in high alpha manuevers. A rounded tip is supposed to be better for IMAC and pattern flying. A horner tip, such as the Cessna 182, is supposed to lessen stall effect, and allow for slower stall speeds. I'm not sure how a tip like you would find on most Stick type planes and the UCD planes is supposed to react.
