Default 1/5 scale SIG CUB engine choice

I'm around 75% done building the SIG 1/5 scale cub and I am using a OS 46AX to power it. Seeing it together and the overall size has me a little worried now. It does recommend 40 to 46 2 stroke, just seems like its a tad on the large side for this engine. I try to fly scale and am not a hot dogger by any means. My question is will this be sufficient or am i setting myself up for a problem going with this engine.

My 1/5 SIG Cub has a Saito 56 engine that provides what I would consider "scale power".
A .46 two-stroke engine would provide about the same performance.
As flying speed is not high, try a large diameter, low pitch prop in order to maximize low speed thrust.

I have the Sig 1/5 scale waiting to be built and I am planning to power it with a 52 4 stroke engine or possibly the new O.S. 56 4 stroke. IMO that's the right power for scale flying. If yours is a clipped wing and aerobatics is your cup of tea, than a larger engine might be appropriate.

After flying my Hangar9 1/5 scale cub with an OS.52 I think a .70 4-stroke might be a little better just for the extra power to get out of awkward situations. I like the .52 with this model, and only fly it in a scale manner, but that extra power might be nice to have.

I had the Magnum 70 FS in mine, It turned a 14" prop, which is scale, but it is too much engine and too much prop. I ended up using 13X6 prop and flying the engine at 1/2 throttle, tops (including take off).

The maiden flight was memorable: at take off, the plane jumped off the ground like some 3D toy. Very uncublike! I have learned to fly it like a Cub!

Have a evolution 60 in mine. Rarely ever fly full throtle. Take off is very short. still has a great glide path at idle almost hard to bring down. such a floater. I just thought 46 was to small for 84" wing, pretty big plane.( for me) Only thing is the evo 60 takes away some scale looks with the head sticking out the side of the cowl. But flies very well.

It does seem like a large plane but it is mostly due to the wing other than that its not much more than a bulky trainer so most agree it will fly then but avoid potential power demanding situations. I have a 12x8 prop on it now and it would pull my four star out of a hover (Gradually). It has good power and only has around 4 jugs of fuel through it so its fairly fresh, just dont want to be in a constant close to stall attitude. Made a little seat and pilot torso set up to go in too, will every ounce be critical , should i leave this out at least for the first few flights or am i overly concerned. This is going to fly circles and take off and land.

.52 4 stroke is perfect.

I have been sent the Sig 1/5 anniversary edition Cub, and it awaits my amateur building skills. I have bandied about the idea of trying to install a brushless motor system instead of the .46 2 stroke recommended. Any advice out there regarding whether going electric is even feasible? If so, what size motor would I want to consider? Is it difficult to mount and balance as I would be building blind? (Sans instruction manual).

Any advise or suggestions appreciated.

im almost done ive chosen a 13x6 prop do you think this will be suitable for the O.S. 46AX. on this plane seems ok wide open but i do notice a difference in RPM am i correct assuming this is what im trying to achieve less RPM more torque. = better climb performance

Could you send me the picture on the box of your cub
I have a sig cub with the plans missing and would like to purchase a copy of your plans if they are the same plane
