Default Jamie's Piper Cub???

A few months or so ago I read a thread about a Piper Cub someone had built for thier friend Jamie. (I save all Cub pictures - Cub MAD, if not insane!!!)

The thread has now "dropped off the end" and seems no longer here. Question: Which Kit was the Cub made from??? Picture below:

Hard to tell from the photo. What type of ailerons does it have. A goldberg has strip which run almost the length of the wing and the great Planes has barn door just like the real one.

Dunno, all I have is the picture. It was just that all the info on the forum thread lead me to believe that for me, this was the best kit to build. I think it may have been a Sig versus Balsa USA thread? Or it might have been somthing to do with "Best covering for a Cub". Just can't remember . . . . . and that's worrying as it was only a few months ago! I'm sure the Guy who built it and took the great picture will pop up shortly.

Skylites, Looks like a great planes kit as i have one 40 size kit. I have noticed that a few manufactures have this small flat place for the light under the cowl.
Correct me if i`m wrong.

SIGH!!!! Convicted as charged, now let's take it one step further. goldberg used metal wing hold down bolts and unless the builder changed that feature then I would have to say that it's not GB Cub. Look at the picture real close and you will see nylon wing hold down bolts!!!!!

Default Cub ?

Well my Great Planes .40 sized Cub has the exact same call #'s and are the same sized. If this helps at all. The GP cubs must all have NC42517.

GP Piper Cub 40 ~ GREAT! That's it then. Nice beast! Next problem, the UK importer does not keep any of the 3 GP's in stock only the Electrifly Cub! Have to get them to bring one in for me.

Many thanks all for your help.

Bye for now . . . .
