How are the instructions with these kits?
Lots of details for a beginner or are they more for experienced builders?

Which one of the Guillows kits are you talking about? MOST of the kits are aimed at the first time builder. try to stay away from the 800-900-1000 series kits as they are the advanced versions.

I would not reccomend these to anyone..... They just aren't high quality from my experience. Spend a little more and get a Dumas or Herr (SIG) kit, you won't regret spending a little more.

I'm building one now for someone. It's been a long time since I've looked at them. I would cut the die cut pieces from scratch the next time, and I think it would build much better that way.

As long as you don't get the larger kits, the instructions are excellant.
