Default Speedy Bee

Does anybody know where I can find a clancy aviation speedy bee kit or plans. I really want to build this airplane but am having a tough time getting my hands on the kit. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Slowglow Flyer,

Well, there's good news and bad news.

The bad news you already know. All of Clancy's stuff is no longer produced or supported by Hobby People who secured the rights to distrubute Andy Clancy's designs. You can try eBay, some of his Speedy Bees show up, but be prepared to pay an incredible amount of money.

Now the good news. You can still order the plans for the Speedy Bee from RCM. Just log on to www.rcmmagazine.com , click on "plans" and do an alphabetical search. You should find the Speedy Bee 1 as plan # pl-1218 which sells for 21.00.

You can build from the plans or obtain a laser cut short kit from www.lazer-works.com . They list the Speedy Bee short kit at $42.37. I do not have a Speedy Bee from them yet, but I did get another short kit from them for a Fokker V-23. The laser cutting and wood selection was great!

Hope this gives you some options.
