Depending on how far you've gotten on the Old Timer kit, I may have some suggestions for you. I've started covering my kit, and would be happy to let you know some of the things I found (with the help of more experienced builders I hang around with). If you want, I'll try to put together a web page with pictures at the different stages of construction.
I really like the look of the plane, and am thoroughly enjoying building it. But, as my first plane, I think it may be a bit tricky. Luckily I've had lots of help locally to keep me out of trouble (at least major trouble!

Just thought I would post a picture of my GP Old Timer in flight. Just had my first flight yesterday, and everything went great. The plane flies very smoothly, and there were no troubles with it. If anyone wants anymore information, send me a note.

i got one on order will be here some time this week .what engine are you going to use . iam thinking electric ,got a great local electric guy in the club. stay in touch if you have any bulding problems.

My father built one over the winter (and loves it!!!!!!!!!!!)
he has an O.S. 52FS in his, and that provides more than enough power....a 40FS would be plenty. He typically flies it around at 1/4 - 1/3 throttle and it just floats all day....
