I met a kind older gentleman at a flea market who was selling some kits and planes. After sitting and talking to him for a couple hours I picked a HoB P-47 kit off of him. I've built several balsa wood free flight kits so I have some experience in building but this is my first R/C kit i've built. I've got a portion of the wing built already. I'm taking it slow so I don't get ahead of myself and make a mistake that'll haunt me later. For those unfamiliar with this kit:
SPECIFICATIONS
Wing area: 216 sq. in.
Wing span: 36 in.
Length: 28.5 in.
Weight: 20 to 28 oz.
Engine: TD .051 to.10
Wing loading: 14.6 - 18.6 oz./sq. ft.
I've heard of people converting this model to electric and being I already have experence with electric planes I would feel more comfortable with this plane as an electric. I was wondering if anyone else on here has experence and tips they would be willing to share to help me on this project. Any help (recogmendations for electric engines etc...) would be extremely appreciated.
